A Study of the Client for Health Promoting Behavior in Area

Abstract
This study was examined at identifying the clients for health promoting behavior in area, and then examined the 7 daily routine lifestyle related to community resident¡¯s health promotion, practice of health behavior, and the relationship between general characteristics of subjects and health hazard. The subjects of this study was made up of 280 residents in Daejeon province from March 20, 2005 to April 30, 2005. Data were collected through interviews using a questionaire and BMI, SBP, DBP, FBS. The results of this study were as follows. 1. Significant differences were between the health promoting behavior and sex of the subjects : smoking experiences revealed that male were higher than female(x©÷=121.090, P=.000), alcohole experiences revealed that male were higher than female(x©÷=22.431, P=.000), routine physical exercise revealed that were higher than female(x©÷=12.910, P=.005). 2. Significant differences were between the health promoting behavior and age group of the subjects : In alcohol experiences, the increasing age group of the subjects, the higher health promoting behavior have(x©÷=21.458, P=.044). In the experiences of body weight control, the belowing age group of the subjects, the higher body weight control have(x©÷ =14.937, P=.021). In routine physical exercise, 20-29 years and after septuagenarian no had physical exercise, 40-50 years and sixties had physical exercise daily(x©÷=36.311, P=.006). The increasing age group of the subjects have breakfast and the belowing age group had no breakfast(x©÷=30.499, P=.033). 3. No significant differences were between the physical health state(BMI, SBP, DBP, FBS) and sex of the subjects. 4. The physical health state (BMI, SBP, DBP, FBS) and age group of the subjects were related : SBP(r=.395, P<.01), DBP(r=.196, P<.01), FBS(r=.195, P<.01), BMI(r=.262, P<.01).
